Welcome Word On The Sand
Come and be nourished among other writers. Tap into new wellsprings. See what bubbles up.

We gather in my home in Toronto’s west end. I provide prompts to get your creative juices flowing. You will be invited to share your on-the-spot writing with a supportive audience and you will receive valuable feedback.

I’m able to facilitate a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 writers at a time. I am certified in the Amherst Writer’s and Artist’s (AWA) method of writing facilitation, developed by Pat Schneider. I love her.

I offer both Full Day Oases and Evening Oases. Please click the Calendar tab for upcoming dates.

Looking forward to writing with you!

“Whether your purpose for writing is artistic expression, communication with friends and family, the healing of the inner life, or achieving public recognition for your art – the foundation is the same: the claiming of yourself as an artist/writer and the strengthening of your writing voice through practice, study, and helpful response from other writers.”

On Sunday January 24, 2016 I was on CBC’s Tapestry program reading the Margaret Wise Brown story “The Runaway Bunny” and offering some commentary. You can hear the whole 4:30 minute segment at this link.
